Marine Corps Senior Enlisted Academy
Mission Statement
Marine Corps Senior Enlisted Academy (MCSEA) is a standalone academy responsible for the governance of senior enlisted professional military education (PME). MCSEA will advance senior enlisted professional military education and leadership development into the 21st century and incorporate adult learning while embracing an information age approach. Marine Corps Senior Enlisted Academy 's focus is developing student learning objectives for all E8 and E9 PME that concentrates on how to think vice what to think.
Marine Corps Senior Enlisted Academy History
The Marine Corps Senior Enlisted Academy (MCSEA) is located aboard MCB Quantico on the Marine Corps University campus building 3078, also known as Billeb Hall. The building’s ribbon cutting and dedication ceremony took place on 20 May 2022. Sergeant Major Bertha Billeb served with distinction as a Master Sergeant, First Sergeant, Master Gunnery Sergeant, and Sergeant Major, she epitomizes what it means to be a Senior Enlisted Leader. She retired in 1973 after 30 years of continuous active duty, another first for a female Marine.
