Major Grant D. Hertzog is the Course Director for the Marine Air-Ground Task Force Operations Ashore course under the Expeditionary Warfare School. He is a Communications Officer by trade but has experience in Information, Space, and Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations. He most recently served as the Regimental Communications Officer for the Fifth Marine Regiment from 2019 to 2021. Prior to that, he served as the Operations Officer for the 1st Marine Division Communications Company, Faculty for the Basic Communications Officer Course, Course Director for the Advanced Communications Officer Course at the Communication Training Battalion, and served as the Marine Aircraft Group 26 S-6 Officer. He holds the additional MOS’ of Air C2 Weapons and Tactics Instructor (7277), MAGTF Communications Officer (0603), Space Operations Staff Officer (1786), and Information Operations Staff Officer (0510).
