Jeremy Mazur is an Oral Historian with Histories Branch, Marine Corps History Division (HD). He has been with HD since December 2024.
Mr. Mazur has worked with the Marine Corps in various roles since 2010. Prior to working with HD, he was the Military Specialist at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot (MCRD) San Diego Command Museum. He also worked as a Program Assistant in the MCRD San Diego G-3 and served on active duty in the Marine Corps as an Electrical Systems Technician on F/A-18s. He was also a volunteer with the Flying Leatherneck Aviation Museum.
Mr. Mazur received a Bachelor of Arts in History from San Diego State University (SDSU) in 2019. He is currently working toward a Master of Arts in History, also at San Diego State University. His thesis examines Marine culture as conveyed through the Marine Corps Base San Diego base newspaper, The Chevron, during World War II. During his undergraduate and graduate programs, he was an intern at the MCRD San Diego Command Museum.
