Mr. Christopher N. Blaker

Christopher N. Blaker joined Marine Corps University in 2019 as a managing editor at Marine Corps University Press (MCUP). MCUP publishes open-access, scholarly monographs and peer-reviewed journals in support of the university’s mission. Mr. Blaker currently serves as the managing editor of two journals, Expeditions with MCUP and MCU Insights, and is involved with the acquisition, editing, production, and distribution processes for MCUP’s book and journal offerings.

A trained military historian, Mr. Blaker previously worked with the Marine Corps History Division (HD) and served as coeditor of the HD anthology U.S. Marines in Afghanistan, 2010–2014 (2017). His work has appeared in such publications as Leatherneck, Marine Corps History, the Journal of Advanced Military Studies (JAMS), Michigan History, and The Saturday Evening Post.
