Ms. Mary Boyt Shapleigh

Ms. Boyt is the Program Manager of the Permanent Marine Corps Uniform Board.

Ms. Boyt graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and was commissioned in the Marine Corps in 1991.  After TBS she attended the Logistics Officer’s Course in Little Creek, Virginia and transferred to Okinawa for a two-year tour as the S-4 Officer for Headquarters and Service Battalion, 3rd Force Service Support Group.  While stationed in Okinawa Ms. Boyt deployed to South Korea as the Facilities Officer for 3rd Force Service Support Group (forward) for the last Team Spirit Exercise.

From 1994-1997 Ms. Boyt served as the Assistant Control Officer, Combat Service Support Monitors, Enlisted Assignment Branch, Headquarters Marine Corps.  While in this billet she also performed duties as a member of the Regulations Working Group, Marine Corps Uniform Board.  In January 1997 Ms. Boyt received a Masters of Science degree in Human Resource Management and Development from National Louis University.

Ms. Boyt left active duty in May 1997, and joined the Civil Service as the Administrative Officer for Separations and Retirement Branch, Headquarters Marine Corps.  In September 1998, she transferred from the Inactive Ready Reserve to an IMA billet with the Career Management Team, Reserve Affairs, Headquarters Maine Corps, where she performed duties as a career counselor and training officer for three years, and then left the Marine Corps for personal reasons at the rank of major.

In March 1999, Ms. Boyt took a position with the permanent staff of the Marine Corps Uniform Board, as the Program Manager.
