Marine Corps University
Edward M. Sierra, DBA

Dr. Sierra is the Deputy Provost of Marine Corps University managing various academic, financial, contractual, and administrative functions. Additionally, he serves as the Designated Federal Officer for the Marine Corps University Board of Visitors.

Dr. Sierra has extensive experience in foreign intelligence, defense acquisition, business operations, and contract management. Prior positions at the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division include Command Senior Intelligence Officer/Director, Intelligence Division; Branch Head, Intelligence Products and Services Branch; PEO(A) Intelligence Analyst; PEO(T) Intelligence Analyst; PEO(CS) Intelligence Analyst; and Operations Research Analyst.

Dr. Sierra holds a Doctor of Business Administration, Master of Business Administration, Bachelor of Science in Financial Economics, Certificate of Management Accounting, and Certificate of Electromagnetic Warfare Technology. He is a member of the Defense Acquisition Corps with certifications in Program Management, Cost Estimating, Government Purchasing, and Facilities Engineering from the Defense Acquisition University.

Dr. Sierra is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Maryland Global Campus and Adjunct Instructor at the College of Southern Maryland. He teaches courses in business, accounting, economics, finance, management, and contracting.
