Mr. Michael E. Ronza

Mr. Michael E. Ronza is the Deputy Director, Academic Operations at the Command and Staff College, Marine Corps University, Quantico, Virginia. Mr. Ronza retired in 2008 with over 20 years of service in the Air Force. 

While on active duty, Lieutenant Colonel Ronza was a Senior Navigator, amassing over 2300 hours in the C-141B and the T-43A and earned both flight examiner and instructor qualifications. His operational tours include air mobility assignments to Incirlik Air Base, Turkey and Ramstein Air Base, Germany. He flew missions in support of Operations JUST CAUSE, DESERT SHIELD/STORM, and ENDURING FREEDOM. He also deployed to Joint Headquarters Operations Centers in Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM. Colonel Ronza served on the faculty at the Air Force Academy where he taught in the Military Arts and Science Department and his final tour on active duty was as Senior Air Force Representative and Faculty Advisor at the Marine Corps Command and Staff College.  

Upon retirement, he continued service in a civilian government position on the faculty at Marine Corps Command and Staff College. As the Deputy Director of Academic Operations, he directly supports the Director and Dean of Academics’ charge to deliver graduate level education to a diverse group of joint, international, and interagency civilians that meet Joint Professional Military Education Phase I requirements. He is integral to the planning and execution of all academic activities and liaises with colleagues and stakeholders across Marine Corps University in support of the academic mission.
