Mr. James J. Cohn
James Cohn served as an enlisted Marine for more than 20 years as a combat correspondent and retired in 2008. He served as a reporter and editor for military newspapers and magazines in Okinawa, Japan; Camp Lejeune, N.C. He deployed to Saudi Arabia in support of Operation Desert Storm. He twice worked at Marine Corps Recruiting Command – as the Public Affairs Noncommissioned Officer in Buffalo, N.Y, and as the Marketing and Public Affairs Chief at the 8th Marine Corps District in New Orleans, La. After being selected for the Staff Noncommissioned Officer Degree Completion Program, he served his payback tour at was then known as the Enlisted Professional Military Education Branch (now the Enlisted College). After retiring from the Marine Corps, he served as the Deputy Director of EPME until 2011, and then assumed duties as the Dean of Academics.
