Narrator: Terrain is NOT a Center of Gravity, because it does not actually do anything. It may however, function as a Critical Requirement. For example, a pass, a bridge, a port, or an airfield may be a critical requirement for a critical capability of a center of gravity. If a force needs the terrain to exercise the critical capability, then it may be a critical requirement. If the terrain is vulnerable to attack, thus removing that critical requirement, than that terrain is a critical vulnerability.

Analyze Centers of Gravity

Terrain is NOT a Center of Gravity or a Critical Capability!

Terrain may be a critical requirement and critical vulnerability.
