Narrator: The final action in orders development is when the commander approves the order or plan. While the commander does not have to sign every annex or appendix, it is important that he reviews and signs the basic order or plan.

A common problem is the commander signing the order before the disconnects are discovered and/or all the discrepancies and gaps are corrected. The order should be presented to the commander for signature after the corrective action of the orders reconciliation and crosswalk processes are concluded.
