6-26 COA C&D Sum

Narrator: After reviewing all the input, the commander and staff process the information. Comparing how these COA's stack up against each other, the commander ultimately decides which of the COA's will best accomplish the mission. This decision is based upon a comparison of the merits of each COA with the COA evaluation criteria. The key result--the approved course of action--will drive the development of the operations order, which is the next step in the planning process.
