Narrator: The output of COA comparison and decision provides the basis for orders development with the main result being the approved course of action. The COA Comparison and Decision step provides a reliable, efficient basis for the commander and staff to understand the advantages and disadvantages of each course of action selected during the wargaming process. During the Comparison and Decision process, the commander evaluates all friendly courses of action against established criteria, compares them against each other, and decides which course of action will best accomplish the mission.
