Narrator: To achieve the best results and remain on track, follow these rules during wargaming, whether it's formal or informal. Remember, your objective is to evaluate each COA independently against the enemy COAs, not against other friendly COAs. Be objective and avoid reaching premature conclusions. Assess each COA with respect to its suitability, feasibility, acceptability, distinguishability and completeness. Record the advantages and disadvantages for each COA. Record issues and mitigations for risk, assumptions and limitations. Keep the commander’s evaluation criteria in mind as you proceed through each turn of the COA war game. Make sure the facilitator maintains the timeline and keeps everyone on track. Set aside possible branches and sequels as they come up for future planning consideration.
