1-19 OPT Role

OPT: The OPT is a dynamic, ad hoc organization formed to conduct integrated planning, and is built around a core of planners from the future plans division or future operations section to conduct integrated planning, augmented by additional staff representatives appropriate to the mission. The OPT may also include warfighting function or lines of operation representatives, liaision officers, and subject matter experts to support the planning effort.
