Ms. Angela Anderson

Angela Anderson is the senior editor and editing and design branch chief for Marine Corps University Press (MCUP) and History Division. MCUP publishes scholarly monographs and the MCU Journal, which highlights a variety of contemporary topics in national security, international relations, and geopolitics. History Division publishes the official history of the Corps as well as Marine Corps History, a military history journal published twice annually. Ms. Anderson is the senior editor and designer of the MCU Journal and Marine Corps History, edits and manages the design and production of contemporary and military history monographs for both imprints, and serves as the series editor for the U.S. Marines in World War I Commemorative Series. She is also responsible for the acquisition of all scholarly articles and monographs. Ms. Anderson began working in publishing in 1992 and has spent the bulk of her career as an editor and designer working in the federal government and with university presses, including the University of Texas Press, Texas A&M University Press, Southern Illinois University Press, and University of Tennessee Press. She holds a BA in graphic design from the University of Texas and an MA in publishing from George Washington University.

 

Mr. Jason Gosnell

Jason Gosnell is the managing editor of Marine Corps University Press and Marine Corps University Journal. He is responsible for managing the editorial aspects of Marine Corps University Journal in addition to serving as the series editor for the Marines in the Vietnam War Commemorative Series. He has been assisting in managing the acquisitions process for the Marine Corps University Journal in lieu of an acquisitions editor. His background includes working as an editor in academic publishing at Kent State University Press and, more recently, as a managing editor at West Virginia University Press. Gosnell has a BA in English from Kent State University as well as a master’s of library and information sciences, with a focus on archives, from Kent State University.

 

Mr. Robert Kocher
Senior Designer

Robert Kocher is the senior designer for the Marine Corps History Division and Marine Corps University Press. He has more than 20 years of design experience with an emphasis on publication design. Kocher is a graduate of the Corcoran College of Art & Design in Washington, DC, with a BFA in graphic design. In his spare time, he enjoys ice hockey and photography.

 

Ms. Stephani Miller
Managing Editor of Marine Corps History

Stephani L. Miller serves as the managing editor for Marine Corps History magazine, managing the article acquisition and selection process, as well as editing manuscripts to adhere to the press’s editorial standards and the magazine’s mission. She has an extensive background in trade and commercial magazine publishing and has worked as both a writer and an editor in both. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English, focusing on technical writing and editing, with a minor in classical humanities.

 

Mr. Jose Esquilin
Multimedia Designer

Jose Esquilin is a designer for the Marine Corps History Division and Marine Corps University Press. He retired from the U.S. Navy after serving 26 years on active duty. Esquilin transitioned from active duty to contract work in 2013, when he started as graphic designer for the Center for Advanced Operational Culture Learning (CAOCL) until joining History Division in 2019. In addition, he is a professional photographer specializing in portraits, sports, and photojournalism. Esquilin holds an MBA from Trident University, which he completed in 2010, and remains active through online accredited training to continue his proficiency in graphics and design. In his spare time, he volunteers as a board member for Puerto Rico Lacrosse, a nonprofit organization introducing lacrosse to Puerto Rico.  

 

Mr. Jeffrey Moravetz
Warehouse and Distribution Manager

After high school, Mr. Moravetz joined the Marine Corps and spent 20 years as a ground supply staff NCO. He then spent 14 years in the civilian sector selling insurance and owning a contracting business before returning to school and earning a bachelor’s in management and an MBA. Moravetz is now responsible for inventory and distribution of all publications for the History Division and MCU Press. In his spare time, he is an avid reader of history and writes book reviews for the Free-Lance Star in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
