Narrator: Critical events influence mission success, they include events that accomplish essential tasks and events that force a decision, creating a result larger than itself. They can be identified in friendly COA graphics and narratives, the Decision Support Template and Matrix, and the enemy Event Template and Matrix.

List and Display Known Critical Events and Decision Points

1 (U) Main effort. Within zone, defeat and expel Libyan and/or Algerian forces from Tunisia in order to restore the Tunisian/Libyan border.

2 (U) Position forces to continue offense operations into Libya for Phase IV.
