CJTF-T Commander's Intent The purpose is to restore the Tunisian border and deter Algerian aggression into Tunisia. The end state is the expulsion of Libyan (and if necessary Algerian Forces) from Tunisia: the restoration of Tunisia's border with Libya and the favorable positioning of our forces so they are poised to continue the attack into Libya and/or Algeria, and prepared to transition to stability operations in Tunisia. I am concerned about weapons of mass destruction (WMD); particularly the Libyan chemical weapons threat. Destroy chemical weapons when identified. |
