COS: The expected threat action to the worsening combat effectiveness of the WOG 1st Echelon is the 2nd Echelon providing support to retreating 1st Echelon forces while they perform a delaying retrograde action to the Libyan border. We need intelligence to identify and counter this, so we will establish NAIs and Decision Points. Enter these in the matrix. Force protection continues as before. Next, address the employment of the maneuver elements. In the Deep Battle, the MAW is your primary counter to the second defensive belt centered on the Gabes-Medinine corridor. Security forces are occupied countering unconventional threats. In the Close Battle, the 2nd MARDIV continues the attack south. The 1st AD and 2nd MEB continue in trace to clear all bypassed forces. Lethal fires are employed in battlespace isolation and in containing and contesting 2nd Echelon support of the 1st Echelon retreating through the Gabes-Medinine corridor. Non-lethal fires are employed against unconventional forces in the rear area and against Libyan SOF elements. TAIs are established to focus the fires. Next, address the logistics situation. As we move South, we will establish CSSAs forward to support ground maneuver units and forward airfields. Command and control remains as before for the MEF. Information Warfare is employed to exploit the lack of support the Libyan Forces and insurgents have among the Tunisian people. We will probably utilize all our air assets at this point, and then some. In terms of external support, we will need additional sorties for this stage.
