Marine Corps University Educating Marines – Anytime, Anywhere

Marine Corps University was founded on 1 August 1989 by order of the Commandant of the Marine Corps, General Alfred M. Gray. In the intervening 30 years, MCU has grown to educate roughly 100,000 students annually, including students from all services, 26 different countries, and 9 civilian agencies. These students are taught by nearly 600 faculty, including civilian PhDs, contractors, and active duty and reserve service members. MCU is home to 6 Staff NCO Academies and 8 distance campuses. We are a truly global organization.
