MISSION AND VISION

USNCC Mission Statement


The United States Naval Community College (USNCC) will provide world-class, naval-relevant education to a globally deployed force to enhance operational readiness and improve warfighting capabilities.
 

USNCC Vision Statement

To set naval professionals on a course of life-long learning, the USNCC will produce graduates who are steeped in naval traditions and values, have sound ethical decision-making ability, possess improved critical thinking skills and have a deeper understanding of the complex maritime environment in which they operate.


Guiding Principles:

To ensure success, the USNCC will strive to:

  • Provide accredited, recognized, transferable, and relevant associate degree programs run in partnership with top colleges and universities that align with the needs of the Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard;
  • Provide frequent opportunities for acknowledging achievement through the awarding of stackable certificates and degrees;
  • Support student access and success for its globally distributed workforce through its program design, partnerships, technology, and wrap-around support;
  • Be student-centric and be simple/user-friendly to minimize barriers and frustrations;
  • Be innovative, outcomes driven, and continuously test, learn, and evolve to ensure positive results for its stakeholders.
