Colonel Craig J. Price, USMCR (AR), MCWAR

Colonel Price enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1987.  Selected for an NROTC Scholarship while a Corporal, he attended the Virginia Military Institute, graduating in 1992.   Upon commissioning and completion of training, he was designated an artillery officer and assigned to the 1st Battalion, 11th Marines as the Fire Direction Officer of A 1/11.  Further active duty assignments included duty as a Firepower Control Team Leader and Supporting Arms Liaison Team Leader with 1st ANGLCIO.  Upon transfer to the Selected Marine Corps Reserve, he served as the Fire Direction Officer, Executive Officer and Battery Commander of A 1/14, as well as the Reserve Support Officer for Recruiting Station, Seattle, WA.  As a Major, he was the Regimental Intelligence Officer for 23d Marines, and a planner in the III MEF G3 Future Ops section.  Upon selection for the Active Reserve Program, Maj Price served as a Branch Head at Manpower and Reserve Affairs and as an advisor to the Iraqi Police.   As a LtCol, he served as a planner at U.S. Joint Forces Command and as the Deputy G5 and Force Deployment Officer for I MEF.  His most recent assignment was as the G3, 4th Marine Division.
His education includes a BA in Economics from the Virginia Military Institute and an MS in Joint Campaign Planning and Strategy from the Joint Advanced Warfare School.  He completed Advanced Joint Professional Military Education at the Armed Forces Staff College.  During his SMCR service, Col Price was a Police Officer/Diver with the Seattle, WA Police Department.  He deployed in support of Operations United Shield (Somalia), Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom.
